Doughnuts - Rosemary Schulte recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup mashed potatoes
1 1/2 plain water
1 1/4 potato water
2 eggs
1 yeast
4 1/2 cups flour
Directions
Let the dough rise until it doubled in size, then rolled out and cut doughnuts. You let them rise again for about 30 minutes or longer. They will puff up in size when you fry them.
