Chewy sugar cookies

Ingredients
Cookie dough
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Icing
8oz cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
Directions
Mix dough ingredients Chill dough for 2 hours Roll dough into 1 inch balls or bigger. Place on a greased cookie sheet. It works best if you slightly flatten the cookies after placing on the sheet. Bake cookies at 350F. Do not overbake Spread the icing on the cookies
