Directions
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt. Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in water. Stir in buttermilk. Add yeast mixture and buttermilk to dry ingredients and stir until moistened. Cover and chill. When ready to use roll out dough on lightly floured surface to about 3/4 inch thickness. Cut out biscuits with cutter and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes. Dough will keep several weeks in refrigerator if covered tightly. Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
